„Male artists build rooms, female artists build curved walls“ was a comment by my friend Linus. Somethings never change? I don’t agree: four female artists as final nominées and winners. The winning piece „What the sun has seen“ by Agnieszka Polska was indeed outstanding; to me, the second screening (what could wear the title „What the earth has felt“) was crashing the installation and was too metaphoric. To be mentioned the Filmförderpreis für Filmkunst, an award aiming at filmmakers who touch the boundaries to art: Winner: Sandra Wollner with „Das unmögliche Bild“, a film on young women during WW II. Preis der Nationalgalerie, Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin-Mitte.
